American Graffiti takes place in the early 60's allowing you to rediscover drag racing,inspiration point and drive in's all over again. This Academy Award nominated film features the coming of age of four teenaged boys on their last summer night before leaving for college. Starring Richard Dreyfus as Curt,confused about his future he spends the night contemplating leaving for college or not.Ron Howard as Steve,a young guy dead set on going off to college and willing to break up with his long time girlfriend to do so,Paul Le Mat as John,pissed off about not leaving the only thing he really has is his car and Charles Martin Smith as Terry The Toad, Terry is just trying to get the girl by any means necssary.There last night has many twist and turns to it the meeting with the pharahos,the cops,and the car. This film really represents what teenagers are like regardless of the time period impulsive,willing, wild ,needed but at the same time caring and understanding.Directed by George Lucas American Graffiti is not exactly something you would expect from him it's something honest and real.The soundtrack gives you a really good idea of the time period alot better it has some of the greatest rock n roll songs of the era.This is a film i would recommend to anyone.
